What is an RSS feed?
August 1st, 2007 by Liz Fuller
I’m glad you asked……
A feed is a way for you to subscribe to my blog like a magazine. (RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication)
This means I will send you a regular update into your blog reader or if you’d like, into your email account. This means you don’t have to worry about missing a post or remember to pop over to see what’s going on - the articles will be delivered right to you.
How do I get your blog posts in my email?
Simple! Simply enter your email address in the subscription box on the right hand side of my site and you will be sent an email once a day with my latest articles. If I happen to post more than once per day - don’t worry - you will still only get one email per day in your inbox.
Your information is safe, is never shared and is never even used by me for any other purpose including my e-zine.
How do I get your posts in a Reader?
Click on the large orange icon in the upper right hand corner of the site. It will take you to a page to let you select your favorite reader such as Google, Bloglines, etc.
Personal note: I have to admit I didn’t use a blog reader until a few months ago. I just had a few blogs bookmarked and every so often I’d go over to see what was happening on those sites. I didn’t understand how easy a blog reader could be to use.
But now that I have subscribed to blogs in my reader - I’ll never go back to doing it the old way again. I just look in one place and see all my subscriptions at once. I can immediately tell who has published something and who hasn’t. I can read the ones I’m interested in and save the others for later. Quick and easy.
What if I decide to unsubscribe?
Easy- you can unsubscribe via email or in your reader. No obligations.
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
