Top 10 Distinctions Between Millionaires and the Middle Class #1
September 23rd, 2008 by Liz Fuller
Lately, I’ve been reading a book by Keith Cameron Smith called The Top 10 Distinctions Between Millionaires and the Middle Class
I thought the author made some good points when it comes to making, earning and keeping money. I’d like to share some of his points along with my take on their impact on Women Entrepreneurs.
Distinction#1
Millionaires ask themselves Empowering Questions. Middle-class ask themselves Disempowering Questions.
This is a fantastic observation. I think that entrepreneurs wouldn’t have become entrepreneurs if WE didn’t first ask ourselves empowering questions - How can I turn my passion into a business? How can I build a life of my dreams? How can I bring my service to the largest number of people?
Along the way, as times get challenging, WE may slip into asking ourselves disempowering questions: What if I fail? Why is everything going wrong? Why don’t I ever get a lucky break? What if they don’t like me? What if I never succeed?
While it is important to look at both our strengths and weaknesses, to examine both opportunities and threats, it is also important to do so in a way that increases our confidence rather than depletes it.
Instead of asking what if I fail?
Ask yourself what are the top 3 things that could go wrong, and how can I work to avoid them?
The first question leaves you feeling hopeless, while the second leaves you feeling strong and informed, with a plan for action.
What questions are you asking yourself?
